Disciplinary Action

At our company, we follow a step-by-step disciplinary action process to address employee misconduct. The steps are as follows:

  1. Verbal Warning: The first step in the disciplinary action process is to issue a verbal warning to the employee. This serves as an initial notice and an opportunity for the employee to rectify their behavior.
  2. Written Warning with performance plan: If the employee's misconduct continues or escalates, a written warning will be issued with a performance plan. This written warning will include a clear explanation of the issue, the expected improvement, and an action plan to address the behavior. During the probationary period of the performance plan any continued behaviors or actions as outlined in the written warning can result in suspension or termination.
  3. 3-Day Suspension: If the employee fails to improve their behavior during the probationary period of the performance plan then a 3-day suspension can be imposed. During this suspension period, the employee will not be allowed to work and will be expected to reflect on their actions.
  4. Termination: If the employee's misconduct persists even after the suspension period, termination of employment may be considered. Termination will be the final step in the disciplinary action process and will be implemented after careful review and consideration by the management team.

It is important to note that the severity of the misconduct and the circumstances surrounding each case will be taken into account when determining the appropriate disciplinary action. The ultimate goal is to maintain a positive and productive work environment while providing employees with opportunities for improvement.
