Showroom Sales Representative
Job Description
Sales representatives connect with customers to sell their business' products or services. Successful sales teams use effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with and maintain loyalty among their company's customers, which directly influences the revenue stream of the business.
These professionals are on the front lines, representing a company day in and day out. Working as a salesperson requires strong skills in networking and persuasion in addition to perseverance. Sales representatives may oversee a particular department of the business and report to the sales manager. These departments are based on the expertise, interest and previous experience around a particular category or sub-genre. The departments are subject to change as the business develops and the sales representatives expand their knowledge, skills and sales experience.

- Answer phones
- Answer doors
- Schedule showroom appointments
- New Displays, fixtures & furniture
- Show Room Overall Clean And Organized
- Guitar Walls Order And Display
- Amp Display
- Pedal Display
- Pickups Display
- Retail Ready (Amps Plugged In And Guitars Tuned And Polished)
- Carpets Vacuumed
- Floors Cleaned
- Garbage Taken Out
- Incoming Items Taken To The Back, Logged, Labeled And Put Away
- Local walk-ins
- Process repairs when guitar luthiers are absent

Authority
- Purchasing Of New Displays, fixtures and furniture
- Approve or Deny Customer Appointments or Walk-ins
- Discount items to a set margin to make a sale
- Include merchandise or other low-stake items to make a sale
Schedule
- Daily
- Check phone messages
- Check showroom appointments
- Ensure showroom is clean and up to standard
- Ensure all slots are filled in displays
- Respond to phone calls as they come in
- Make showroom appointments as needed
- Handle In-store Customers (see Walk-Ins script)
- Enter customer interactions into CRM as info is available
- Weekly
- Ensure all amplifiers are usable on display within reason
- Review CRM and follow up with local customers as appropriate
- Monthly
- Re-organize showroom as needed for changes in inventory and displays
- Quarterly
- Major projects such as new shelving, display cases, re-arranging floor etc.
