Store Manager

Job Description

The store manager oversees the entire day to day business operations of the store and ensures that everything runs smoothly. They are responsible for managing teams, delegating daily tasks, ensuring that company policies are followed by all employees.


Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily operations of the business
    • Shipping and receiving department
      • Making sure that outgoing shipments on time, and incoming items are processed
      • Keeping shipping materials in stock
      • Keeping high quality control standards
      • Maintaining accurate information of inventory in spreadsheets and item locations
      • Minimizing amount of returned items due to shipping damages and/or quality control
    • Repair department
      • Prioritizing and Delegating guitars to the appropriate guitar luthiers
      • Setting and maintaining standards for repairs and setups
    • Sales Department
      • Overseeing and delegating all in-store appointments, phone calls and walk-ins
      • Monitoring customer interactions and making sure sales staff is utilizing CRM (Zendesk)
    • Marketing
      • Making sure that social media posts are made on a daily basis by available staff
    • Product management
      • Overseeing inventory items are listed in a timely manor and up to company standards
  • Training, and evaluating employees.
  • Setting and Maintaining standards
  • Conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback
  • Ensuring that company policies are followed by all employees.
  • Prioritize to meet deadlines and goals
  • Problem-solving and decision-making
  • Prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively

Accountabilities

  • Sales
    • KPI: Monthly Sales Revenue, Sales Profits and Net profit
  • All KPI's for company

Authority

  • Delegate tasks amongst staff
  • Implement incentivized rewards for performance
  • Give disciplinary action including verbal warnings, performance plans and termination
  • Make modifications to existing staff responsibilities and tasks
  • Write checks and make purchases for store inventory, tools, displays, and supplies
  • Authority over all staff excluding operations manager and CEO

Schedule

  • Daily
    • Make sure all staff is on time for scheduled shifts
    • Check inventory, customer appointments, incoming deliveries, outgoing shipments to delegate tasks accordingly for the day
    • Make sure all tasks are completed to company standards
  • Weekly
    • Managers meeting with CEO and Operations manager
      • Review weekly metrics, sales, social media tracker, and inventory
    • Store meeting with entire staff
      • Discuss topics including any changes to policies, metrics that need attention, schedule, agenda for the coming week, shop projects etc.
  • Monthly
    • Review all staff metrics and performance with management
    • Review management performance, goals and metrics
  • Quarterly
    • Set quarterly goals and agenda
    • Formal review of staff members

Goals

Improve and maintain company standards and policies meanwhile growing the business and increasing sales revenue.

Goal of $500,000 gross sales and $100,000 gross profit per month.
